Signs and Symptoms (New Performance OCT17)

This is an improvised piece performed by Matt Henry (of UMSL) and Tchaffe.  We think this new performance is one of the best we've ever done.  Look at the description of each file for more information.

Movement I
Movement II and III
Movement IV
Movement V

  1. Listened to all four presentations and it was at home for me, being in the percussion family. From movements one to four, the conversations came across more bolder and offers a meter from time to time. As a drummer in thought, the meter is a birthing place. Movement V with the mallet and that hand held more of an abstract presence even though for me, kept an interest because it was fueled by percussion.

  3. Amendment; on movement four with the stick and hand, it began to loose meter, even though it was still palatable for me being a drummer, with percussion experiences. The meter is definitely more of a place of comfort for me. Movement 5 put me back into a place of creativity, due to the meter being present.
